Post to your own Mastodon account from your app, on whichever instance you call home.
Connecting
On your instance, open Preferences, then Development, create a new application, and copy its access token.
Publish a post
- status: The text of the post. Required.
- visibility: Who can see the post. Public when left unset.
- spoiler_text: A content warning shown before the post text.
- in_reply_to_id: The id of the post this one replies to.
- language: Two-letter language code, like en.
- sensitive: Mark attached media as sensitive.
Answers with: id, url, created_at.
Settings
- Post text: The post with field slots, or bind an input on screen.
- Visibility: Who can see posts your app publishes by default.
What it stores
Sent posts (status, visibility, id, url, created-at)
Where it speaks
This connection reaches the address you set on the Connection and nowhere else. The hosts are fixed by declaration.
