If
Sends each row down the true branch or the false branch.
The If node takes one input and has two outputs: true and false. Every incoming row is checked against the condition and leaves through exactly one of the two. No row is dropped, and no row leaves through both.
Properties
- Condition: the check each row takes. Required. One or more rules, up to 12. With and, a row passes only when every rule passes. With or, one passing rule is enough.
A rule has three parts: a value to look at, the check itself, and for most checks a value to compare against.
The checks
- Text: equals · not equals · contains · not contains · starts with · ends with.
- Numbers: greater · at least · less · at most.
- Dates: before · after. Dates compare as ISO dates.
- Presence: empty · not empty. These ask about the value alone; there is nothing to compare against.
- Yes or no: is true · is false. These too take nothing to compare against.
Condition required
A run with no condition set fails with: the If step needs its condition set.
