Text

A run of text: the words themselves, or live data rendered as words.

Text renders a plain string, or a live expression over wired rows, such as a count, a sum, or an average, so a sentence can carry a number that updates with the data. With blocks set, it renders rich text instead: paragraphs, bullet and numbered lists, quotes, and simple tables.

Properties

• Text: the words. Required. Takes a live expression over wired rows: count, sum, avg, min, max, plus concat, round, if, and len to shape the sentence.
• Blocks: rich text instead of the plain words: paragraphs, bullets, numbered lists, quotes, and tables. Runs inside a block can be bold, italic, code, or a link to another screen or to a spot on this one.
• Tone: importance: primary, muted, or faint.
• Tag: what this text is on the published page: a paragraph or a real heading level (h1 to h6). Meaning for readers and search, never pixels.
• Font size: body, heading, small, or an exact pixel number.
• Font weight: 100 to 900. 400 reads as body, 500 as news, 600 as emphasis.
