Component

A placed instance of a component definition: a reference, never a copy.

An instance renders a project component or a stock composition and carries its control values. Edits to the source flow into every instance that does not override them; removing an override restores inheritance.

Properties

• Component: the definition this instance renders. Required.
• Controls: control values by name. Every control takes a raw value or a live expression over wired rows.
• Variant: the picked variant, where the definition declares variants.
• Overrides: per-child changes on top of the source. Removing one restores inheritance.
