Chart

The plot frame: it owns the axes and the grid, and draws no data of its own.

Drop Line, Bars, or Dots children inside. Each mark binds its own table, and they all draw on this one shared grid; the scales fit the union of their data, so two tables share one plot and a line can sit over bars. With no children it renders honestly empty. Colors stay system-owned (the monochrome series ramp by child order), with one optional override per mark.

Properties

• X: the shared x column read from each mark's rows. Omit for row order; a mark's own X wins for its rows.
• X type: the x scale kind: auto, time, number, or category. Auto detects from the data; Bars always plot categories.
• Height: chart height, in pixels.
• Axes: draw the axes and grid. Off makes the bare word-sized spark form; size it small.
• X label / Y label: the axis words. Omit for none.
• Y max: the y scale ceiling. Omit to fit the data.
